The "Düsseldorf Flughafen" airport railway station is located directly on a major axis of the European railway system. Around 350 trains stop daily at the „Düsseldorf Flughafen” station - ICE, IC, EC and regional trains.

Only one train does not stop at the new railway station – the Line 11 tram (S-Bahn) connecting the airport with the Bergisch Gladbach (main station). The S11 line makes a stop at the underground “Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal“ tram station.

Observation deck
The “Düsseldorf Flughafen” railway station provides an excellect view of the runways at Düsseldorf International. Those using and visiting Düsseldorf International can enjoy this look-out from the railway station obervation deck. Another observation deck is located on the roof of Departure B.
